I do know that it can affect another quest. I did notice that ED-E did seem to still be with me, maybe under the map, because I went on a rampage on the Strip with HE missiles and got a message that he died after one explosion, so if you aren't doing a hardcore run, you can possibly kill him off that way and maybe he will pop back up or return to Primm.
It really doesn't cause any issues, aside from not being able to add Rex if you want, since he will continue to say that ED-E is in your party. Supposedly some people have had luck getting him to pop back up by riding the elevator in the vault.
He's been a ghost since early in my game after entering Vault 11. Good luck with your next purchase.Same issue here.

One final word, to reduce the chances of the problem occurring again, remember not to buy multiple items at the same time,as this may increase the chance of causing the software to fail. You must remember that merchants are no different to you and do not sit by their computers at all hours of the day. Please give them a day or two to reply - don't expect an answer within minutes. Most merchants will be very willing to resend the item. (A notecard is more reliable than an instant message, as instant messages are often capped for merchants who receive a lot of correspondence.) Make sure that your notecard is polite and contains details of the failed transaction. If you have been billed, simply send the merchant a notecard inworld. If you have not been billed, you may want to make a second attempt at buying the product. The on screen notes will leave you in doubt of whether you have been billed or not. If you haven't been billed, it will explain that the money has been refunded and a payment of zero will be shown. You can see here if you have been billed or not by going to "Order History" on the left hand side of the screen. If, after many hours, the item has not arrived, just go to the Marketplace site and click on "My Account" under "My Marketplace" at the very top of the screen. The software for the marketplace is often unreliable and it may take anything from a few minutes up to a few hours for the item to arrive. Undelivered Marketplace Items: First of all, just be patient. Prefer buying items one by one or 2 as the more items purchased at the same time, the more delivery failures may occur. If you don't have a reply, let's say by next Tuesday or Wednesday, you can file a support case: marketplace issue > failed delivery. If you receive no reply from the merchant, first be patient: it's holiday time and not much people is inworld this week. If you were charged and the delivery failed, ask politely for a new copy of your objects.
If nothing show up, contact the merchant (check his profile to see if he has any preference for IMs or notecards) with a copy of your transaction numbers and names of items. You can consider there is a problem if you don't receive your items tomorrow. If you cannot go inworld, add the items to your favorites list in your marketplace account and go shopping in SL when you can login.ĭeliveries may take up to 8 hours. When buying inworld, the items are almost ALWAYS immeditely delivered to you. I would recommend that once you have selected an item, click the "see item inworld" and go to the merchant's shop to purchase. There are too many delivery failures from the MP recently.
